If you share this vision then we want to hear from you!

Why join us?

We’re not just another local authority.

We’re a forward-thinking, responsive organisation with a clear vision: to empower our social workers to spend their time doing what matters most: connecting with people and families to support them to live their idea of a good life. We are proud of our:

We’ve reshaped our services into three new areas:
Early Support, Ageing Well and Safeguarding, and Disabilities and Mental Health, based on what matters most to the people we support and the professionals who work with them, making sure people receive the right support, at the right time, by the right person.

This transformation is about more than structure; it’s about creating a service that’s fit for the future, focused on outcomes, and built on trust, respect, and collaboration.

As a result, we are investing in our social work workforce and have a number of social work posts across the new service areas.
