Overview
Fertility Nurse/Midwife – Part-time or Full-time, up to £45,000 (experience in Fertility required) – Wolverhampton Area. This private hospital specializes in Fertility, Assisted Conception, and Gynaecology with fertility practice. We seek a dynamic and innovative registered nurse or midwife to join our multi-disciplinary team and participate in the day-to-day running of the clinic, adhering to all clinic processes and SOPs.
Responsibilities- Prepare and assist with the smooth running of the clinic to maintain high standards of patient care.
- Carry out clinical duties in a professional and compassionate manner in accordance with clinic policies and protocols, and with regulatory bodies including the HFEA and CQC.
- Schedule patient treatment cycles, conduct patient information sessions, administer drugs, and assist senior practitioners during egg collections, embryo transfer and other assisted conception procedures.
- Support patients through their fertility treatment with continuity of care and support.
- Ensure compliance with HFEA, CQC, and other regulatory bodies’ Code of Practice and Quality standards.
- Data entry and record keeping in line with HFEA standards and best practice; contribute to SOPs.
- Demonstrate sound clinical knowledge and skills; conduct audit projects as required.
- Enter patient information and treatment details as required by the clinic and HFEA; liaise with team members as necessary.
- Handle enquiries from potential clients, clients, and the public in a professional manner.
- Work within the organisation’s structure and collaborate with the embryology and admin teams to ensure smooth clinic operation.
- Current RGN or RM qualification with up-to-date NMC registration.
- Fertility experience preferred; candidates without experience considered based on attitude and willingness to learn; in-house training available for inexperienced candidates.
- Excellent nursing/fertility nursing skills; experience in surgical pathways applicable to IVF practice.
- Pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing IVF and gynaecology procedures.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to learn, meticulous attention to detail, and good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ultrasound scanning including transvaginal scanning experience is desirable.
- Nurse consultation and phlebotomy experience; ability to fill in laboratory request forms accurately.
- Good team player with a commitment to excellent customer care and the ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
Part-time or full-time depending on the requirement of the right candidate. Some weekend work is required. DBS checks at enhanced level may apply. Competitive salary based on qualification and experience. Pension scheme and 33 days of annual leave (including public holidays).
