Position: Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)

Cygnet Group are looking for a confident, experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a passion for delivering outstanding care to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton.

At Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton you will be working 42 hours per week (07:45 AM/PM till 08:00 AM/PM), including days/nights and alternative weekends.

Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton is our new state‑of‑the‑art PICU & Acute hospital for men, in the West Midlands. The service features two wards: a 12‑bed PICU ward and a 17‑bed Acute ward. We have a full multi‑disciplinary team (MDT) and support the acute needs of adults requiring rapid access to mental health services, including those who may need an intensive care environment.

Your day-to-day at Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton
  • Produce outstanding written reports based on nursing assessments & observations
  • Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit and improve quality
  • Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing
  • Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with patients, relatives & other healthcare professionals
  • Safe administration of medication as per local and national guidelines
  • Provide effective direction and support to junior members of the team
Qualifications and experience
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with a current PIN number and experience in a PICU / Acute setting
  • Ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits & demonstrate integrity in your role
  • Good understanding of the latest nursing practices and commitment to patient recovery to effectively monitor, manage & reduce risk
  • Compassion, resilience & dedication to empower & support service user independence
  • Ability to deputise in a managerial role
