Cygnet Group are looking for a confident, experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a passion for delivering outstanding care to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton.
At Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton you will be working 42 hours per week (07:45 AM/PM till 08:00 AM/PM), including days/nights and alternative weekends.
Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton is our new state‑of‑the‑art PICU & Acute hospital for men, in the West Midlands. The service features two wards: a 12‑bed PICU ward and a 17‑bed Acute ward. We have a full multi‑disciplinary team (MDT) and support the acute needs of adults requiring rapid access to mental health services, including those who may need an intensive care environment.
Mainduties of the job

Your day-to-day at Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton- Produce outstanding written reports based on nursing assessments & observations
- Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit and improve quality
- Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing
- Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with patients, relatives & other healthcare professionals
- Safe administration of medication as per local and national guidelines
- Provide effective direction and support to junior members of the team
- Registered Mental Health Nurse with a current PIN number and experience in a PICU / Acute setting
- Ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits & demonstrate integrity in your role
- Good understanding of the latest nursing practices and commitment to patient recovery to effectively monitor, manage & reduce risk
- Compassion, resilience & dedication to empower & support service user independence
- Ability to deputise in a managerial role
