Relief Personal Assistant – Walkerburn

I am an elderly lady living at home in Walkerburn. I am looking for a relief Personal Assistant to join my team and support me when my existing team requires time off.

• Please come in and wake me up if I am still asleep and prompt and assist me to the toilet – I can be a bit unsteady, especially first thing in the morning so please allow me to time to mobilise safely.
• Once I have been to the toilet, please prompt and support me to shower – please ensure I am supported to thoroughly clean myself and check for any skin integrity worries, reporting back to family with any concerns.
• Please prompt me to brush my teeth and hair.
• Please then support me back through to the bedroom to get dried and dressed into appropriate clothing for the day ahead.
• I will then need to be supported through to the living area to sit.
• Please then prepare breakfast and drink of choice – please prompt and encourage intake.
• Please prompt and encourage me to take my medication.
• I’d like you to please leave me with a cold drink and ensure its left in sight and that the TV is switched on, if required.
• Finally, please ensure my home is secured on leaving.

• Please come in and support and prompt me to use the toilet.
• Please prepare my lunchtime meal and drink of choice and prompt and encourage intake.
• I’d like you to please leave me with a cold drink and ensure its left in sight.
• Finally, please ensure my home is secured on leaving.

• Please come in and support and prompt me to use the toilet.
• Please prepare my evening meal and drink of choice and prompt and encourage intake.
• Once I have finished eating, please support me with undressing and having a wash, then into my nightwear, ready for bed.
• Please help me into bed and ensure I have everything I need to hand for the evening and overnight.
• Finally, please ensure my home is secure on leaving.

• Visits as above – 3 visits required a day.
• Flexibility on times.

• £15.00 per hour.
• 5.6 weeks annual leave, calculated on a pro‑rata basis.
• PVG required.
