Due to our recent re-location, we are looking for a motivated Assistant Technical Officer, to help us deliver a high-quality service to our patients.
Assistant Technical Officer required to support the clinical trials team in our very busy Pharmacy Trials Unit and Cancer Services. Duties include assisting clinical trials team with smooth delivery of clinical trials, dispensing of medication, receipt of trial medication, filing and assisting in monitoring temperature where clinical trials medication is stored. There will be requirement to work in the Cancer Services prefill area dispensing chemotherapy treatments.
Creating databases and inputting information., Assist the Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists in the provision of the broad range of services provided by the Aseptic Services unit working under the supervision of the Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists.
Provides pharmacy service including dispensing drugs to patients, and other supportive duties in the pharmacy aseptic unit.
Support the work of the Aseptic Services in the provision of an early start, late night, weekend and bank holiday service.
Qualifications required are four GCSE's to include English, Maths and a Science subject or working towards Level 2 NVQ in Pharmacy Services Skills. On the job training will be given. Experience of Pharmacy work and computer skills is required. Previous experience of dispensing is essential for this role.
