Overview

Role: Product Support Engineer

Type: Permanent

Package: £40,000 per annum

Hours: Monday - Thursday: 9am - 5pm, Friday: 9am - 4.30pm

Location: Wolverhampton

I'm supporting an established engineering business that, due to continued growth across its product and solutions portfolio, is looking to appoint an experienced Product Support Engineer. This is a customer-facing technical role within a quality-driven engineering environment, supporting both internal teams and external customers across a diverse product range.

The business delivers engineered technology solutions for demanding applications. This role offers long-term stability, exposure to varied systems and technologies, and genuine opportunities to influence product improvement, support capability, and customer satisfaction within a growing organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality technical support to customers and internal teams via phone, email, and remote access.
  • Manage and track support and solutions tasks using (url removed), ensuring clear communication and timely resolution.
  • Liaise with internal engineering, compliance, and validation teams, as well as external partners, to resolve technical issues.
  • Deliver remote and occasional onsite technical support, escalating issues where required.
  • Produce and maintain technical bulletins, support documentation, and training materials.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience supporting IP or IoT-based systems incorporating hardware, software, and configuration tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS operating systems, including virtual environments.
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including routers, switches, and common protocols.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and IP-based devices.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving ability, and a detail-focused, customer-centric approach.
