We are looking to recruit an experienced IT User Support to work with our IT Team team based in Wolverhampton.
You must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle as this role will require travelling to our office bases as required.
Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain the firms computer systems and networks.
- Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
- diagnose hardware/software faults and resolve appropriately
- resolve technical and applications problems, via the helpdesk and helpdesk requests, either over the phone or in person.
- Ensure a thorough understanding of the firms information systems and how theyre used and apply their technical knowledge/expertise appropriately
- troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults;
- replacing parts as required;
- providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports;
- following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system;
- supporting the roll-out of new applications;
- setting up new users accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues;
- assisting with user training when needed.
- responding within agreed time limits to call-outs;
- working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate);
- prioritising and managing many open cases at one time;
- rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, e.g., software developers;
- testing and evaluating new technology and involvement in specific project work as required
- Only visual checks, official testing via PAT
- Travelling to various sites across the midlands when needed.
- This role will from time to time require out of office hours working to ensure downtime and disruption is minimised
