School Caretaker - Wolverhampton (Split Shift)

We are recruiting for a reliable and hardworking School Caretaker to work at a school in Wolverhampton. This is a split shift caretaker / site supervisor role working Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the school site, ensuring the premises are safe, secure, clean and well maintained.

Pay Rate: £14.00 - £16.00 per hour (depending on experience)

37 hours per week

Location:

Wolverhampton, West Midlands

Working Hours

• Carrying out daily health and safety checks in line with the school's health and safety procedures
• Completing and maintaining site check paperwork and records
• Basic site maintenance and minor repairs including: unblocking drains; fixing leaking taps; minor toilet repairs
• Reporting any major faults or repair issues identified during daily checks
• Liaising with the school office staff and external contractors regarding repairs and maintenance work
• Ensuring the school building and grounds are secure, safe and presentable at all times

• Fully Enhanced DBS Certificate (mandatory)
• Full 5-year work history with references
• Experience in caretaking, maintenance, facilities, or site work preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage daily site duties
• Strong understanding of health and safety standards
