Maintenance Operative

This role is full time 40hrs per week.

HC‑One are looking for a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning and housekeeping. You’ll also need technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as ideally some IT skills. Whenever you communicate with a resident or co‑worker, you’ll be genuinely considerate and kind.

As a Maintenance Operative you will ensure our residents live in places that are proactively inspected and brilliantly maintained at all times. You’ll carry out audits, keep records up to date and perform tasks such as replacing taps or mixer valves, fitting extractor fans, repairing timber on bedroom windows, and putting up new wallpaper in dining rooms – all with a sense of kindness above everything else.

Mandatory Safeguarding:
All staff must be able to recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect, attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role, seek advice, report concerns and, where necessary, act or refer for escalation.
