Site Operative

This Site Operative post in the Environment department sits at Poole Recycling Centre, which BCP Council runs. The work centres on sorting waste and recyclables, loading, sweeping, and keeping the site clean and safe while helping visitors with disposal. A full-time 37-hour fixed rota from Friday to Tuesday covers weekends and bank holidays, with outdoor work in all weathers and no prior waste experience needed.

Applicants must already hold the right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available.

• Sort waste and recyclable material
• Load material
• Sweep up the site
• Keep the Recycling Centre clean, maintained and safe for all site users
• Help residents with questions and guide them through waste and recycling disposal
