Overview
City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking a Supported Employment Work Coach. This is a fixed-term contract until 30/11/2026, part time at 30 hours per week. Work style is any suitable location within the City of Wolverhampton; the role requires the ability to move around the city to meet with customers and employers. The Supported Employment Team is a joint initiative between the Council’s Adult Social Care and Skills teams to provide opportunities for people who require extra support due to long-term learning or physical disabilities.

6) actual salary; £29,483.51 - £33,062.43 (appears to reflect different pay scales for the role).

Team and PurposeA Supported Employment Team Leader has been put in place to oversee the work of the Work Coaches to ensure that targets are met. Work Coaches will work collaboratively with employers and customers to ensure appropriate job matching to secure paid sustainable employment is put in place. The Supported Employment Team focuses on the Supported Employment Model which is a proven model to support disabled people into employment.

Work Coaches will meet with customers and employers, provide guidance and support, and help match people to suitable paid employment opportunities while promoting inclusion and equal opportunities.
