Overview
The Radiology Department at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is a progressive and dynamic service offering patients and staff a safe and effective care and work environment. We strive for excellence in all that we do and are looking for an experienced and ambitious diagnostic radiographer to lead our Plain Film Imaging Service. The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing a large team and demonstrated knowledge of governance, risk management, service-relevant key performance indicators and budget management.
The post holder will be keen to implement change and adapt to the fast paced nature of the industry, with strong resilience, problem solving and excellent organisational skills.

Responsibilities- Plan and develop a tailored Plain Film Imaging service that meets Radiology Directorate and Trust targets.
- Implement service changes, including new equipment and imaging systems, supported by highly developed clinical knowledge and practical/theoretical experience.
- Develop the imaging staff to meet changing service needs, including training and competency programs.
- Operationally manage the Plain Film Imaging Departments across all sites, including the out of hours service.
- Liaise with referring Directorates to provide a responsive service aligned with patient needs.
- Take an active role in risk management and lead governance issues within the areas managed.
- Qualified diagnostic radiographer with significant experience in plain film imaging and leadership of large teams.
- Strong knowledge of governance, risk management, KPIs and budget management relevant to Radiology services.
- Proven ability to implement change in a fast-paced environment and to manage competing priorities with resilience and effective problem solving.
