The Best for the Black Country Programme Lead will provide leadership for the culture transformation programme, now in Year 2 of delivery. This role will drive sustained cultural change across the organisation by translating strategic ambitions into tangible outcomes that are understood, owned and lived at every level.
The Programme Lead will work closely with Executives, senior stakeholders, and teams across the People Directorate to lead the design, coordination, and delivery of key programme activities, ensuring the vision, values, leadership, staff engagement, improvement culture and accountability are embedded throughout the organisation.
Leadership and DirectionLead the Best for the Black Country culture transformation programme, ensuring focus and momentum. Collaborate with senior leaders to build ownership and alignment, ensuring the programme reflects the organisation's values and employee experience ambitions.
Programme Design, Delivery, and CoordinationOversee planning and delivery to meet Year 2 objectives, including visible leadership, staff engagement, and accountability. Translate high-level ambitions into practical initiatives and manage multiple work streams to ensure timely, effective delivery.
Partnership with OD, L&D, and HRCollaborate with OD, L&D, and HR to embed cultural change through people processes and leadership development, aligning with leadership frameworks and workforce strategies.
Engagement, Communication, and CreativityLead inclusive engagement activities and manage communication strategies that promote transparency, success stories, and feedback-driven action.
Monitoring, Impact, and Continuous ImprovementImplement monitoring and evaluation to assess progress, using data for continuous improvement.
Leadership and Ways of WorkingAct as a role model for values, promoting equality and fostering collaborative relationships across the organisation.

Pay and contractsMost NHS roles are paid under NHS Agenda for Change. With us - your starting point is set against the advertised band and your relevant NHS service, with progression through annual increments.
Medical and Very Senior Manager roles follow separate national pay frameworks, not Agenda for Change. Details are provided in each advert and during recruitment.
Standards and checks- Clinical posts up to and including Band 4 are expected to hold the Care Certificate. If you don't have it yet, we'll support you to complete it in post.
- Some roles require a Standard or Enhanced DBS check under part V of the Police Act 1997. Having a criminal record won't automatically prevent employment. We consider the role and individual circumstances.
