Role Summary

Responsible for the effective line management and leadership of the Oncology and Haematology Services Group, ensuring structures and systems are in place to coordinate the activities of the various health care professionals.

Provide management support to the DCOO, Head of Nursing, Divisional Medical Directors and Directorate Management Team. Work with them to develop, implement and monitor finance and activity arrangements and business plans for the Oncology and Haematology Services Group. Facilitate staff and team development and ensure effective communication systems operate within the Group, other specialities, across the Divisions and Trust.

Group Managers are expected to work for the clinical and business success of their Group Specialties, and to contribute to the corporate success of the Trust. This will include implementation and development of corporate policies and long‑term strategic plans, and initiating changes in line with Trust Management Team decisions to local and regional services.

Responsible for developing, influencing and implementing policies within the Emergency Services Group, and across the organisation.
