Position: Children’s Rights Manager (Advocacy)

About the Role

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join Coram Voice as our new Children’s Rights Manager in the West Midland. In this pivotal role, you will lead a dedicated team of advocates and deliver direct, ongoing advocacy and independent visitor services to children and young people across a range of settings.

Leadership and Team Management
  • Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of advocates to ensure high-quality service delivery that aligns with relevant standards and codes of practice.
  • Support the development and implementation of training programs so the team remains up-to-date on children’s rights, relevant legislation, and best practice.
  • Supervise, develop, and manage team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
  • Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and ensure staff compliance with organisational policies and standards.
Direct Advocacy and Service Delivery
  • Provide direct advocacy support to children and young people as needed, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are championed across all settings, including secure children’s homes.
  • Oversee the delivery of commissioned services, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and organisational goals.
  • Develop and implement innovative service approaches to address the changing needs of children and young people.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee and enhance advocacy services across Sandwell, Walsall & Wolverhampton (Black Country).
  • Champion children’s rights, ensuring that services meet national standards and deliver the best outcomes for children in care or facing challenges.
Eligibility and Experience
  • Committed to empowering young people and experienced in advocacy, safeguarding, and service management.
  • Strong leadership skills and a track record of managing teams in a charitable or social care environment.
Working Conditions

Home based with travel across Sandwell, Walsall & Wolverhampton (Black Country).
