About the role

Day opportunities is a permanent team leader position providing services for adults with a learning disability or living with dementia across two sites in Wolverhampton. The role involves leading staff and supporting individuals to experience choice, independence and community integration.

Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, compassionate and person‑centred support.
  • Identify and create opportunities for individuals to interact within the local community.
  • Participate in staff development, appraisal and training.
Qualifications
  • Share a commitment to empowering individuals through choice and involvement.
  • Promote independence while enabling individuals to have control over their lives.
  • Have a background in supporting adults in community‑based settings.
  • Bring experience of working within Health & Social Care services.
  • Have experience of supervising staff.
  • Uphold and promote equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • Have the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Hold a relevant social care qualification (NVQ level 3 or equivalent).

Working pattern: 5 out of 7 days, primarily Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 6 pm. The role may involve travel across the City of Wolverhampton.
