Assistant Team Manager needed for our Adult Social Care Team in Wolverhampton, paying £36.50 ph!

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Team Manager to join Wolverhampton's Adult Social Care Service. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled social work professional with leadership experience to help shape high-quality services for adults with care and support needs.

Working alongside the Service Manager, you will provide operational leadership, oversee complex casework, and support the development of a strengths-based, person-centred service that delivers positive outcomes for adults and carers.

As an Assistant Team Manager, you will:

• Support the day-to-day operational management of the Adult Social Care team.
• Provide leadership, supervision, appraisal, and professional support to social workers and other team members.
• Oversee complex casework, ensuring high standards of practice and statutory compliance.
• Ensure adults with care and support needs are safeguarded in accordance with the Care Act 2014 and the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal
  .
• Manage the prioritisation and flow of work from first contact through to transfer or closure, using performance data to drive service delivery.
• Authorise key decisions and provide oversight of assessments, care planning, safeguarding enquiries, and reviews.
• Act as an authoriser on behalf of the Supervisory Body for Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) where appropriate.
• Monitor team performance, quality assurance activity, and service improvement initiatives.
• Support budget management and ensure delegated financial responsibilities are exercised appropriately.
• Represent Adult Social Care at multi-agency meetings and develop effective partnerships with health services, police, voluntary organisations, and other stakeholders.
• Deputise for the Service Manager when required and provide operational support across Adult Social Care services.
