The Vacancy Field Care Supervisor (Domiciliary Care) – Wolverhampton & Surrounding Areas

Salary up to £29,000 DOE + Company Car and mileage or Car allowance

Hours: 37 per week,that will include alternate weekends

McCarthy & Stone is seeking an experienced Field Care Supervisor to help set up and deliver a new care and lifestyle service across Wolverhampton & Surrounding Areas. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate care leader with strong operational and regulatory experience, delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You'll play a key role in promoting the service we provide, whilst helping older people maintain their independence.

About the Role:

As a Field Care Supervisor, your role will involve overseeing and managing personal care and lifestyle services for our residents, ensuring it is tailored to their individual needs and preferences. You’ll work closely with the Registered Care Manager to supervise a team of Mobile Care Assistants and Mobile Domestic & Lifestyle Support Assistants. You will ensure compliance with care industry legislation and procedures, organizational standards, and contribute to the creation of personalized care plans that promote dignity, privacy, and positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Care Manager with the growth, management and delivery of care services across the allocated geographical area.
  • Ensure services are safe, effective, high quality and compliant with CQC regulations, company policies and best practice.
  • Supervise, support and develop a team of Mobile Care Assistants and Mobile Domestic & Lifestyle Support Assistants, including training oversight, staff reviews, spot checks, interviewing, onboarding and induction.
  • Collaborate with a multi disciplined team to maintain best practice and keep care administration systems accurate and up to date.
  • Deliver excellent service to residents, encourage reviews and feedback, and attend development meetings to discuss and promote available services.
  • Support the team in identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns to the appropriate authorities and the in-house compliance team.
  • Provide short-notice cover for care calls when required, including staff sickness or annual leave and to work alternate weekends.
  • Ensure all scheduled visits are clocked in and out, and updated as necessary on the careline live app on your mobile phone
  • Maintain work records, e.g. work sheets, and receipts to support travel expenses and mileage claims.
What We’re Looking For
  • A minimum of 2 years supervisory care experience in a community, field based or home care setting.
  • Must hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or preferably hold a Level 3, or be willing to work towards it.
  • Knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding and compliance requirements
  • Experience of completing and updating care plans and risk assessments
  • Excellent understanding of the elderly care sector and independent living in later life.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with flexibility to work remotely or at a development office.
  • To cover care, domestic and lifestyle support calls at short notice, if required.
  • Be available to work alternate weekends, early morning and evening shifts as required.
  • Be able to attend training sessions and staff meetings
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • A full UK drivers’ licence
