We are currently seeking a highly skilled Tube Laser Setter Operator to join our client who is a leading steel stockholder and steel processor in the UK.

• Set up, program, and operate tube laser cutting machines to produce precision components in accordance with specifications.
• Interpret and analyse technical blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate production processes.
• Understand and apply knowledge of various materials, including metals and plastics, to optimise laser cutting operations.
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure products meet required standards and specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on laser cutting machines to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any machine issues, implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

• Proven experience as a tube laser setter or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with laser cutting technology and CNC machinery is essential.
• Proficient in programming, setting up, and operating tube laser cutting machines.
• Strong ability to interpret technical blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of different materials and their properties in relation to laser cutting processes.
• Experience with quality control processes and inspection techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the capability to troubleshoot machine issues effectively.
• Self‑motivated with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality work.
