HSE Coordinator
Location:
Wolverhampton (Multi-site - West Midlands)
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Hours:
39 hours per week
- Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00
- Friday: 08:00 - 13:00
- Contract:
Permanent
Reporting directly to the HSE Manager, you will support day-to-day Health, Safety and Environmental activities across two manufacturing sites. This is a proactive, operational role requiring a hands‑on approach to maintaining compliance, managing risk and promoting a positive safety culture.
You will act as the on‑site HSE representative, ensuring safety standards are maintained and UK legislative requirements are upheld.
Key Responsibilities- Acting as the on‑site HSE representative across both sites
- Conducting routine safety inspections and workplace audits
- Monitoring housekeeping standards and safe systems of work
- Supporting supervisors to resolve safety issues efficiently
- Creating, reviewing and maintaining the risk assessment register
- Ensuring HSE documentation is up to date and legally compliant
- Recording and investigating accidents, incidents and near misses
- Carrying out root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
- Maintaining accident statistics and trend analysis
- Supporting new starter inductions
- Coordinating refresher training (FLT, First Aid, Fire Marshals etc.)
- Promoting a positive safety culture
- Supporting safety committee meetings
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards)
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience conducting risk assessments
- Excellent communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- A visible and approachable safety champion
- Proactive and solution-focused
- Confident communicating at all levels
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Committed to continuous improvement
- Able to influence and promote positive behavioural change
