Night shift (includes a generous shift allowance; allowance is not paid during the training period)

Moog Aircraft Group is looking for an apprentice trained, experienced Manual / CNC Grinder to join the team at our facility based in Wolverhampton. Our Machinists work to exceptionally close tolerances, an essential requirement of the aerospace industry.

• Experience operating and setting Manual Studer machines S20/RM250 and operating/setting CNC Studer S33/S31
• Capability of machining exotic and hardened materials
• Carry out own 1st off inspection and check/complete the necessary quality documentation
• Precision manual land grinding, working to achieve limits to 0.00005
• Able to set and run multiple machine/processes
• Work a shift pattern, including nights and overtime when requested

• A recognised engineering apprenticeship
• Previous experience within an engineering/manufacturing role within the aerospace industry
• Good knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling
• Attention to detail and accuracy and process improvement
• Using the relevant inspection techniques/equipment to achieve drawing tolerance

• The role requires the candidate to be self-certified and a quality stamp holder after qualifying period.
• Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained. Candidates who cannot obtain clearance may not be eligible.
