About the Role

At Moog Aircraft Group, we are looking to recruit an experienced Assembly and Test Team Leader to drive activity and manage the team across our Assembly and Test Programmes across GS and OE. To support our Quality, Cost, Delivery and flow initiatives, the role will help achieve critical delivery targets and drive improvements throughout assembly and test. The team leader will report into the Manufacturing Manager to drive and achieve key performance indicators for Assembly and Test programs.

The role will be supervisory, ensuring that all direct staff comply with company procedures and processes and managing the manufacturing production employees. The leader will ensure smooth running of production processes, ensuring that all products are produced to high specifications and deadlines are met to achieve the MPS plan. The role also involves reviewing performance, identifying training needs and driving motivation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that day-to-day operations are run in compliance with Health & Safety policies and guidelines
  • Manage, develop, and motivate highly skilled technicians to achieve challenging goals
  • Effectively utilize the strengths and skills of team members to coordinate and achieve business and customer demands
  • Maintain quality of product in line with quality systems, processes and procedures
  • Oversee cooperation and resolution of technical/quality problems, logistics and personnel issues
  • Work with key stakeholders within the business to ensure delivery targets are met
Key Skills And Experience
  • Experience with continual improvement projects (preferred)
  • Understanding of working to a recognized quality management system
  • Previous team leader experience (ideal but not essential)
  • Understanding of lean principles and how to apply them
  • Assembly experience (advantageous)
  • Strong analytical abilities to coordinate and manage complex manufacturing issues
