Are you an experienced TIG Welder looking to take your skills to the next level in the Aerospace industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Our client, a leader in advanced aerospace solutions, is seeking talented Aluminium Welders to join their dynamic team. This is your chance to be part of a company that is redefining aerospace and defence!
Start date: June/July 2026
Duration: 6 months (high potential to be extended or made permanent)
Location: Wolverhampton WV10
Pay Rate: £23.31 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week
Rotating shifts: Mornings – Mon to Thu 6–1.45pm & Fri 6–12pm, Afternoons – Mon to Thu 2–10pm & Fri pm
As an Aluminium Welder, you will play a crucial role in the assembly, welding, and testing of legacy heat exchangers. This position is ideal for those who thrive in fast‑paced environments and have a passion for quality craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities- Perform TIG welding and brazing on aluminium products with precision.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to execute flawless welds.
- Set up and operate TIG welding equipment safely for optimum performance.
- Conduct thorough inspections on welds to ensure compliance with aerospace standards.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet project targets and deadlines.
- Engage in ongoing training to meet welding certification requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organised working environment that adheres to safety and company standards.
- NVQ/City & Guilds or similar qualification in welding & fabrication or relevant engineering subject.
- Proven experience as a TIG Welder, particularly with aluminium and steel products.
- Familiarity with thin gauge sheet metal welding (0.5–3.5mm).
- Experience working to high tolerances and certified or regulated standards is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional problem‑solving skills.
- Experience in aerospace, motor sport, or similar industries is advantageous but not essential.
- Welding certification standards would be a plus, but not mandatory.
