The Role We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering business in Atherton that specialises in the manufacture of large, complex machined components for demanding industrial sectors. Due to continued growth and a strong order book, they are looking to add an experienced 5 Axis CNC Machinist to their manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern machining environment working on large-format components where quality and precision are paramount.

Key Responsibilities Set, operate and edit programmes on large-format 5-axis CNC machining centres Manufacture precision components from engineering drawings and specifications Machine a variety of materials to tight tolerances Select and set tooling to achieve optimum performance and cycle times Conduct in-process inspection using standard measuring equipment Identify and resolve machining issues to maintain productivity and quality Work closely with production and engineering teams to meet delivery targets Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety What We're Looking For Proven experience setting and operating 5-axis CNC gantry mills Experience machining large-format or heavy engineering components Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings Strong understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds and machining strategies Experience working to tight tolerances and demanding quality standards Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Desirable Experience Heidenhain, controls Aerospace, defence, energy or heavy engineering backgrounds
