Job title:
Team Leader Night Shift
Salary: £16.44 per hour + 20% shift allowance. Around £40k per annum
Working hours:
Night shift
Monday to Thursday 22:00PM to 06:00AM, Friday 20:00PM to 03:00AM
Client reserves the right to amend shift patterns based on business and customer requirements
ROLE SUMMARY/PURPOSE
ISQ Recruitment is recruiting a Team Leader Night shift for one of our clients in the Wolverhampton area.
You will take responsibility for leading the night shift, allocating work and ensuring the required safety, quality and performance standards are maintained.
This role would suit someone with previous team leadership or supervisory experience in a fast-paced warehouse or logistics environment.
Experience of JIT, sequencing or packing operations would be useful but is not essential.
Main Duties
Coach all Team Members daily in processes and procedures.
Deliver daily SOS / EOS briefs.
Management and maintenance of staff training and upskilling documentation and keeping accurate records of training completed and training to be conducted.
Maintain and monitor safe working practices and adhere to the safe working methods and countermeasures implemented.
Drive the standards Stop, Call, Wait culture.
Maintain Standard Work and Quality processes to ensure a “Right First Time” product to the customer.
Drive zero tolerance mindset for deviation from the use of the quality processes to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.
Understand throughput rate to support customer requirements.
Drive a Lean Manufacturing process and apply 5S methodology.
Operate visual delivery tracking systems in order that commodity status can be seen at a glance.
Participate in follow up of customer concerns. Contribute to assessing root cause using robust countermeasures. Support the corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues. Escalate where appropriate.
Reporting of all through puts, improvement and people requirements within given time parameters.
Assist in New part changes, production trials, model change and pilot build in area of responsibility.
Required
Coach all Team Members daily in processes and procedures.
Evidence in leading a team or supervising staff on shifts.
Understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing and 5S methodologies.
Prior experience in working within a busy, fast paced Warehouse/Logistics/Supply Chain environment.
Problem solver can do attitude with excellent communication skills.
Strong IT knowledge (Excel, WMS, SAP etc.)
Job experience in a Tier 1 operation is beneficial (JIT, Sequencing, Packing, Delivery) Knowledge of Lean working practices, 5S, Excel, warehouse management systems or SAP would be useful.
Experience of JIT, sequencing, packing or delivery operations would also be an advantage.
