In the Manufacturing team at JLR's Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC), you'll help power iconic electric cars. As a Continuous Improvement Maintenance Technician, you'll play a key role in helping our machining facility continuously improve how we work. Partnering with teams across Block, Head, Crank and EDU machining operations, you'll identify opportunities, solve complex challenges and deliver meaningful improvements. WHAT

TO EXPECT

You'll work closely with colleagues across manufacturing, engineering, quality and maintenance to improve operational performance and deliver lasting change. From analysing data to leading improvement projects, your work will help create smarter, safer and more efficient ways of working.

Here’s what to expect:

  • Identifying, prioritising and delivering continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity performance
  • Applying structured problem-solving techniques, including root cause analysis, to eliminate recurring manufacturing issues and sustain improvements
  • Analysing production and maintenance data to uncover trends, improve decision‑making and support performance improvements across key manufacturing metrics
  • Leading and supporting improvement projects, equipment modifications, process trials and implementation activities across the machining facility
  • Coaching and engaging colleagues in continuous improvement tools and lean manufacturing principles, helping to build a culture of ownership and continuous growth
WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills and experiences you'll need to help you succeed here, including:

  • Holding an NVQ/BTEC Level 3, completed apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in an engineering, manufacturing or technical discipline
  • Demonstrating experience within continuous improvement, process engineering, maintenance or a similar technical role in a manufacturing environment
  • Applying structured problem‑solving methodologies and lean manufacturing principles to deliver measurable results
  • Analysing operational performance data and using insights to support effective decision‑making and improvement activity
  • Building strong relationships, influencing stakeholders and communicating effectively across all levels of the organisation
