Role:Recycling Operative (non-ferrous)

Hours: 47.5 hours per week (predominantly Mon – Fri with the requirement to be flexible over 7 days).

Salary:Starting at £30,000 (skill dependent)

We are now looking to recruit Recycling Operatives (Non-Ferrous) to join our team at our Bilston site.

As a Non-Ferrous Operative, you will play a key role in the daily operations of the yard, ensuring non-ferrous materials are correctly identified, sorted, and processed safely and efficiently.

• Identify, sort and process non-ferrous metals in accordance with company procedures
• Customer service assisting with weighing materials and dealing with suppliers and public deliveries
• Work closely with others, ensuring good communication and following instructions
• Operate plant equipment and FLT (Forklift Truck) where trained
• Maintain good housekeeping practices ensuring area is always clean and tidy
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and safe systems of work
• Assist with general yard duties as required
• Often working in various weather conditions
• You will work closely with the yard team and management to maintain high operational standards.

• Has experience in scrap metal recycling
• Has knowledge of non-ferrous metal
  - essential
• Comfortable working in different aspects of a scrap yard
• Has FLT experience or licence (desirable)
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and ability to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
