Assembly Operative

A Steel / Assembly Operative is required for a growing manufacturing company in the Wolverhampton area. You will be responsible for loading steel coil onto a machine, operating the equipment to produce steel framing, and then assembling the finished frames using basic instructions and a variety of hand and power tools.

The duties of the role include;

Loading steel coil onto a decoiler
Operating machinery to produce steel framing
Bundling and preparing steel frames for assembly
Fixing and assembling steel framing on large jigs
Using air tools and power tools
Following basic instructions to complete assemblies

Previous steel framing or roll-forming experience would be beneficial, although full training on the machinery will be provided. The role would suit someone with a practical mindset who enjoys working with their hands and has an interest in mechanical work or DIY.

A Counterbalance FLT licence would be beneficial but is not essential.

This is a permanent position with a growing start-up business, offering the opportunity to join a small team and develop with the company.

- 7:00am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday
5 hours per week
£13.50 per hour
