Trainee Laser Programmer

We are recruiting for a Trainee Laser Programmer to join an established manufacturing business, on a temp to perm basis. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone with a keen interest in technical drawing, computer-based design and problem-solving.

Full training will be provided, so previous laser programming experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

* Create 3D models of tubular components using customer drawings and specifications.

* Use CAD software to produce 2D technical drawings and 3D models.

* Convert customer files into the formats required by laser cutting software.

* Use specialist software to calculate estimated production times to support customer quotations.

* Liaise with customers to understand their requirements and help ensure accurate technical information is provided.

* Support the wider team with programming, drawing and administrative tasks.

* Maintain accurate information and follow established procedures.

* The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

* Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or spreadsheets would be beneficial
