Mechanical Fitter

Pay Rate: £16.00-£17.00 per hour, depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday - Day Shifts

Contract: Permanent, directly employed by the company

Mechanical Fitter with welding experience to join a well-established engineering business in Wolverhampton.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with a strong mechanical background and practical welding experience who is looking for a permanent position offering long-term stability and the opportunity to develop their career.

• Mechanical fitting, assembly and installation of engineering components and equipment.
• Carrying out welding tasks as required, using appropriate welding techniques.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively.
• Carrying out mechanical adjustments, repairs and modifications.
• Ensuring all work meets the required quality standards and specifications.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar engineering role.
• Practical welding experience.
• Good mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Confident using a range of hand tools, workshop equipment and welding equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently or as part of a team.

• £16.00-£17.00 per hour, depending on experience.
