You’ll support families of disabled children and young people, particularly those from Black, South Asian, Minoritised Ethnic and marginalised communities, while helping coordinate projects, monitoring outcomes and supporting engagement across the organisation. It’s a varied position where your knowledge of SEND, advocacy and project administration will contribute directly to better access to information, services and opportunities.

Your responsibilities as Advocacy and Projects Support Coordinator
Provide information, practical assistance and individual advocacy to parents and carers navigating SEND processes, services and support
Help families understand their rights, prepare for meetings and communicate effectively with schools, local authorities, health professionals and social care services
Coordinate activities and provide administrative and operational assistance across multiple charity projects
Maintain accurate records, databases, referral documentation, monitoring information and evidence of project outcomes
Collate quantitative and qualitative information to support evaluation, progress updates and funder reporting
Help coordinate events, workshops, training, consultations and meetings, including virtual and hybrid sessions
What we’re looking for in an Advocacy and Projects Support Coordinator
Experience supporting children and young people with SEND and their parents or carers, with knowledge of SEND processes, EHCPs and relevant education, health and social care provision
Understanding of disability, equality, safeguarding and the barriers experienced by Black, South Asian, Minoritised Ethnic and marginalised communities
Strong project administration skills, including maintaining databases, collating monitoring information and supporting evaluation and reporting
Experience working with voluntary, community and statutory organisations and engaging effectively with a range of stakeholders
Relevant A Level, O Level, GCSE or NVQ Level 3 qualification in social care or special needs, a project management qualification, or equivalent
Working hours:
30 hours per week, with availability required for occasional evening and weekend meetings and events.
