What you’ll get from joining the gardening teamThis is a chance to share your love of gardening with like‑minded people, using your passion and creativity to support the development of our outdoor spaces together. As a key team member, you’ll share and build some valuable skills and knowledge about gardening whilst giving back to your community.

- General tidying and garden maintenance
- Taking cuttings, setting seeds, planning and pruning
- Developing new projects
- Enjoying the developing seasons together
We offer four‑hour shifts across the week from Monday to Thursday – we all rest on Fridays and weekends, making time for our own gardens. Bring sturdy footwear and garden gloves and we’ll provide the rest.
Support you will receiveWe are committed to supporting your development as a successful gardening team member. Support includes:
- induction, training and regular reviews to ensure you are confident in your role
- the opportunity to attend diverse hospice‑based or online courses such as meditation
We are a local charity providing free, compassionate end of life care and support to patients and their families. Our services are available to people living in the communities of North Hertfordshire, Stevenage and surrounding towns and villages in Central Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire. We offer a supportive volunteering environment and would love you to join our team.
