Market Harborough, Leicestershire —

Hours:

Up to £62,000 FTE (based on 40 hours), depending on experience.

This is a community-focused, first‑opinion practice based in Leicestershire. It handles a varied caseload and offers comprehensive facilities, including a 24‑hour out‑of‑hours service and diagnostic imaging. The practice is actively involved in the local community, attending events and also supporting local charities.

This opportunity is ideal for a Veterinary Surgeon seeking a role that combines flexibility with a strong emphasis on work‑life balance. The position is designed to accommodate a range of working patterns, including school hours, shorter shifts, or set days each week, with the practice aiming to tailor schedules wherever possible to suit individual needs.

The role sits within a friendly and supportive team environment, where collaboration and professional development are actively encouraged. The successful candidate will work alongside nine experienced vets, some of whom hold postgraduate certificates, within a well‑equipped practice that offers modern diagnostic tools and the support of a skilled nursing team. Despite being part‑time, the role remains fully integrated into the team culture, with regular social events helping maintain strong connections among colleagues.

The ideal candidate is someone who works well within a team, remains composed in a busy environment, and demonstrates strong clinical judgement.
