This role will be based at our Fallings Park site in Wolverhampton, with the potential for the right candidate to work one day a week at the main Wolverhampton Hospital, which is due to move into a new, purpose-built hospital in late 2027! We offer flexible working patterns that flex work to fit in with you and your lifestyle. Whether you are looking to flex your rota hours to balance the school holidays, fix to navigate the school runs or just looking to strike that balance between home and work life. We can offer flexibility that actually works for you. A typical full-time role would require to you work 40 hours across 4 weekdays, with a shared Saturday rota.
There’s no out of hours or on call required for any of our sites.
Our sites offer excellent connectivity across the country. For example, the Fallings Park practice is just 8 minutes from M54 Junction 1 and is easily accessible from Wolverhampton, Dudley, Stafford and Telford. Wolverhampton train station is very close to Fallings Park (5mins) and walkable from our main Hospital, with excellent links to major cities like Birmingham, London, Liverpool and Manchester. Birmingham airport is only a 40-minute drive away.
We’re equipped with all the tools you’d expect from a modern practice, including operating theatres, Idexx labs, ultrasound, dental X-ray, a CT scanner, digital X-ray, digital microscope, endoscope, laparoscopic kit, and much more! Our greatest strength lies in our high-calibre team, made up of certificate holders and advanced practitioners, supported by skilled nursing staff and dedicated support teams.
As a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.
You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

- A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
- A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development
