Wolverhampton About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and detail‑focused Quality Inspector to support the final inspection of precision‑manufactured components produced  this role, you will ensure all products meet strict quality, traceability, and compliance requirements, supporting both new and legacy product lines.

You’ll work closely with production and quality teams, interpreting engineering drawings, validating build standards, and contributing to continuous improvement activities across the department.

Key Responsibilities
Perform final inspection of components to defined quality procedures.
Work to route cards, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
Complete and verify all quality‑related documentation (work orders, stamps, serialisation, material traceability).
Carry out visual and dimensional inspection using basic measurement tools.
Ensure compliance with quality gateways, FAI requirements, permits, concessions, and release processes.
Identify and declare non-conformances; support investigation and disposition activities.
Maintain stock control systems as required.
Complete system transactions and paperwork prior to dispatch.
Support improvement initiatives (5S, TPM, quality clinics).
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Follow all Environmental Health & Safety requirements.

What You’ll Bring
Experience in sheet metal, machining, or component quality inspection.
Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Familiarity with measuring tools (e.g., calipers, gauges).
Confidence working independently in a fast‑paced production environment.
Effective communication skills and good PC literacy.

Desirable

Experience with in aerospace, motor sport, or similar precision engineering industries.

Shift Information You must be flexible to work rotating shifts, which may include:

Morning shift
Afternoon shift
Potential future night shift (notice will be given)
Pay is reflected in the above hourly rate structure.
