A growing precision engineering business is looking to appoint an experienced Quality Manager on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established engineering business with a rich history, which is now experiencing significant growth following investment in a brand-new, modern manufacturing facility.
The company is continuing to expand and is looking for a hands-on Quality Manager who can take ownership of the day-to-day quality function and help maintain and improve standards as the business grows.
The RoleAs Quality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities within the Quality Department, ensuring products and processes consistently meet the required quality standards.
This is a hands-on position, ideal for someone who enjoys being involved in the detail rather than purely managing from a distance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day quality activities across the business
- Conducting internal and external audits
- Managing quality documentation and records
- Investigating and managing non-conformances
- Carrying out root cause analysis
- Implementing corrective and preventative actions
- Monitoring and maintaining quality standards and procedures
- Supporting continuous improvement activities
- Working closely with production, engineering and other departments to resolve quality issues
- Ensuring compliance with relevant quality procedures and customer requirements
- Providing support and guidance on quality-related matters across the business
The successful candidate will have experience working within a quality-focused role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
You will ideally be someone who is:
- Experienced in quality management within engineering/manufacturing
- Experienced in
- Understands the hardness, heat treatment, forged and machined goods industry
- Confident carrying out audits and investigations
- Experienced in dealing with non-conformances and root cause analysis
- Comfortable working hands-on within a production environment
- Organised and methodical with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicating with colleagues across different departments
- Passionate about maintaining high standards and driving continuous improvement
