Café Bistro Chef

We're recruiting for a talented Chef to join our client's busy café bistro in Inverclyde. If you enjoy working with fresh ingredients, thrive in a fast‑paced kitchen, and take pride in delivering high‑quality dishes, this is a fantastic opportunity to put your skills to work.

• 3 days per week initially
• 3‑month contract with the potential to extend

• Preparing and cooking a variety of fresh café and bistro‑style dishes to a consistently high standard
• Supporting the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen during busy service periods
• Maintaining exceptional standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety
• Assisting with stock control, food production, and kitchen organisation
• Minimising waste and ensuring ingredients are used efficiently
• Working closely with the front‑of‑house team to deliver an outstanding customer experience
• Contributing to a positive, supportive, and professional kitchen environment

• Previous experience as a Chef within a café, bistro, or other busy hospitality environment
• Confidence preparing and cooking fresh, high‑quality dishes
• The ability to work efficiently under pressure without compromising on quality
• A strong understanding of food hygiene, health & safety, and HACCP procedures
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• A proactive approach with a willingness to support colleagues during busy service
