Volunteer Retail Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Volunteer Retail Assistant to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in retail operations while contributing to a meaningful cause. The Volunteer Retail Assistant will support the daily functions of our retail environment, engage with customers, and assist in managing volunteer activities.

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the retail space, including inventory management and merchandising.
• Engage with customers to provide exceptional service and enhance their shopping experience.
• Support volunteer management by coordinating schedules and training new volunteers.
• Utilize Salesforce and Raiser s Edge for tracking customer interactions and managing donor relations.
• Participate in campus recruitment efforts to attract new volunteers and staff.
• Conduct training sessions for volunteers on retail procedures and best practices.
• Oversee social media management to promote events and engage the community.
• Lead public speaking initiatives at community events to raise awareness about our mission.

• Experience in volunteer management or supervising roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with Salesforce and Raiser s Edge is a plus.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide volunteers.
• Excellent public speaking skills for engaging with diverse audiences.
• Background in social work or community service is advantageous.
• Knowledge of training and development principles to effectively onboard new team members.
• Proficiency in social media management to enhance outreach efforts.
• A passion for retail operations and a commitment to supporting our mission.
