If you share this vision, then we want to hear from you!
Why join us?We’re not just another local authority. We’re a forward-thinking, responsive organisation with a clear vision: to empower our social workers to spend their time doing what matters most: connecting with people and families to support them to live their idea of a good life. We are proud of our:
- Visible, supportive leadership:
Our senior managers are approachable, responsive, and genuinely listen. - Strong social work development pathway:
We offer a rich and responsive training programme tailored to the challenges of modern practice - Use of innovative approaches that work for you and people we support: we’re embracing innovation and technology to free up your time for meaningful work and help people live more independently
You’ll be joining us at a pivotal moment in our journey. We’ve reshaped our services into three new areas:
Early Support, Ageing Well and Safeguarding, and Disabilities and Mental Health, based on what matters most to the people we support and the professionals who work with them, making sure people receive the right support, at the right time, by the right person.
This transformation is about more than structure; it’s about creating a service that’s fit for the future, focused on outcomes, and built on trust, respect, and collaboration. As a result we are investing in our social work workforce and have a number of social work posts across the new service areas.

You’ll be part of a forward-thinking, compassionate service that values your voice, nurtures your development, and champions your wellbeing, where no one day is the ever the same.
We’re looking for passionate Social Workers to deliver trauma-informed, person-centred support to adults experiencing homelessness, including those with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF).
