Qualified Social Worker needed for our Adoption Support Team in Wolverhampton, paying £30.57 ph

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Social Worker to join our Adoption Support Team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with adopted children, adoptive families, birth relatives, and adoptees, providing specialist support that promotes stability, resilience, and positive lifelong outcomes.

The team delivers a comprehensive adoption support service, including pre- and post-adoption support, therapeutic interventions, post-adoption contact, and access to adoption records.

• Undertake Assessment of Need and Review Assessment of Need assessments.
• Provide support to adoptive parents, including attending school meetings and multi-agency professional meetings.
• Respond to and manage post-adoption contact enquiries and arrangements.
• Offer guidance and support to birth parents and adopted adults accessing adoption services.
• Deliver therapeutic support to adoptive families and identify appropriate interventions.
• Source and commission therapeutic services to meet identified needs.
• Complete Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund (ASGSF) applications to secure therapeutic support.
• Participate in the team's weekly duty rota, responding to enquiries and referrals.
• Promote best practice by contributing to training and awareness around adoption support issues.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records in line with statutory guidance.
