Clinical Team Leader - CAMHS Intensity Unit

Overview

Are you a Clinical Team Leader looking to gain experience within a CAMHS setting or a registered Mental Health/ Learning Disabilities Nurse looking to develop your career? Seastone Ward, based on Alumhurst Road, is the working environment for you. As the Clinical Team Leader you will provide innovative, high-quality care to young people aged 13‑18 who are suffering from acute mental illness.

The ward will offer comprehensive assessments and treatment so Service Users can have shorter stays in hospital. You will help lead the team, providing high quality care to young people, working in a supportive team to deliver individual care to those within the unit in accordance with the integrated care programme approach. We provide in‑depth on‑going inductions, invest in personal training programmes and offer clinical and management supervision.

Early – 07:00 to 15:00
Late – 12:00 to 20:00
Long days – 07:00 to 20:00
Nights (enhanced pay) – 19:30 to 07:30

• Make judgements about appropriate models of treatment, often involving highly complex issues and situations and thus requiring analysis, comparison and interpretation of a range of options.
• Attend and participate in ward rounds, clinical case meetings and CPA reviews to ensure the needs of children, young people and their families/carers are addressed to support their recovery.
• Day‑to‑day supervision and management of Band 5 Tier 4 CAMHS nurses/staff nurses and mental health support workers.

• Required to undertake a Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course – completion is a condition of employment.
• Employment requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check; the Cost is covered by the Trust. Appointment holders may present a valid DBS certificate if they subscribe to the DBS update service.
• Visa sponsorship is not available – applicants must hold a valid right to work in the UK and will not require sponsorship if successful.

• £3,000 Recruitment Premium: £1,500 upon completion of probation and £1,500 after 12 months in post.
• Generous relocation package of up to £10,000.
• Full‑time post of 37.5 hours per week for a 24‑hour service; part‑time applicants of 22.5 hours welcomed.
