Class 1 Artic Driver

We are seeking a reliable, professional, and safety-focused HGV Class 1 Driver to join our growing team. This is a full-time, permanent position operating articulated vehicles from a supportive local depot, delivering consistent routes primarily within Wolverhampton and surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of articulated vehicles, ensuring full compliance with all legal, safety, and company requirements. This role suits an experienced driver who takes pride in their work, communicates well, and maintains high professional standards.

• Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) articulated vehicles in accordance with road traffic laws and company policies.
• Complete daily vehicle checks, defect reporting, and ensure vehicles are roadworthy at all times.
• Maintain accurate digital tachograph records and comply fully with Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations.
• Carry ADR loads in compliance with all ADR legislation and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding routes, delays, and operational issues.
• Deliver a professional and courteous service at all times.

• Standard Rate: £14.50 per hour
• Overtime Rate: £21.75 per hour
• Early Start Bonus: £10.00 per day (starts before 04:30)
• Daily Bonus:
  Up to £13.00 per day (£65 per week)
• Meal Allowance: £3.00 per day
• Night Shift Allowance: £26.50 per night (when applicable)

• Full-Time, Permanent position
• Monday to Friday (occasional Saturdays required)
• Typical working window between 05:00 and 17:00
• Consistent routes with stable hours and depot-based support

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Valid ADR licence
• Current Digital Tachograph card
• Minimum of 1 year's professional Class 1 driving experience
• Must meet insurance requirements as determined by our providers
• Strong geographical knowledge of Wolverhampton and surrounding areas
