HGV Class 1 Driver; Nights

Position: HGV Class 1 Driver (Nights)
HGV Class 1 Driver - Nights – Stores People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Wolverhampton . This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression. This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver and are looking for consistent night shift work within a professional transport operation.

Shifts:

Monday to Friday PM start times between 20:00 and 02:00 Rates of Pay: £18.25 per hour Benefits:

Completing Class 1 multi-drop deliveries (approximately 5 drops per shift) Operating HGV Class 1 / Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements Assisting with loading and unloading when required Essential

Skills:

Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence Minimum of 12 months' experience driving CE vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes) Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card Good spoken and written English Excellent punctuality and timekeeping Strong understanding of UK road traffic laws Effective communication skills Desirable
