Class 1 Driver - Four Ashes

Turners (Soham) Ltd is recruiting LGV Class 1 Drivers to be based at Four Ashes, Penkridge, Wolverhampton WV10 7FH
.AM and PM shift work required. Initially you will be a cover driver who would cover holiday and sickness. This is a full time position the shifts can be varied and include AM and PM shifts. We currently operate with 4 cover drivers who are trained on all of our runs. Flexibility is key in this role as start time are varied.

Although you will start within the same start time bracket within any working week.

AM shift – Tuesday to Saturday Start times between 00:00 and 06:00  PM shift – Monday to Friday Start times vary between 20:00 and 23:45

Once a permanent run begomes available this will be offered on a first come first serve basis.

As a driver within our Four Ashes operation, you will develop close working relationships with your planning, training, and supervisory team, and driving colleagues in an organisation that strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment. You will also be required as a skilled driver to demonstrate professionalism and courteous conduct to our customers.

Turners can offer employment to suitable newly qualified drivers with limited experience, and full training will be provided to these candidates. We are also keen to engage experienced drivers who can bring expertise and knowledge to our company.
** Successful applicants MUST have the following:*
* • Full C+E Licence.  
• Driver CPC & Tacho Card.  
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English.  
• Tail lift experience is desirable, but training will be given.
