Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and technically capable Warehouse & ERP Systems Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations while taking ownership of software integration, ERP implementation, and ongoing systems development across our logistics function.

This role combines day to day operational warehouse leadership with responsibility for introducing, developing, and embedding a new ERP system, improving data accuracy, process automation, and operational visibility. The successful candidate will play a key role in modernising warehouse and logistics systems while ensuring efficient materials handling and high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations
  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, storage, and inventory control.
  • Oversee materials handling processes, ensuring safe and efficient movement of goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and operational records.
  • Organise logistics for inbound and outbound shipments, liaising with 3PL providers where required.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and equipment safety procedures.
  • Conduct inspections and oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment including forklifts.
ERP, Systems & Software Development (Core Function)
  • Lead the implementation of a new ERP system, including warehouse, inventory, and logistics modules.
  • Map current warehouse processes and translate them into ERP workflows and system logic.
  • Manage software integration between ERP, WMS, Sage, and other operational platforms.
  • Act as the internal systems owner and super-user, ensuring accurate data structure, reporting, and system performance.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, digitalisation, and process improvement using system capabilities.
  • Support testing, configuration, and rollout of new system features and updates.
  • Train warehouse and operational staff on new ERP processes and system usage.
  • Work with external developers, IT partners, or vendors to support system development and troubleshooting.
  • Develop reporting dashboards and operational KPIs using ERP/system data.
  • Drive continuous improvement through data-led decision making.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement process and system improvements.
  • Improve stock accuracy, traceability, and operational visibility.
  • Support long-term digital transformation of warehouse and logistics operations.
Experience & Skills
  • Proven experience in warehouse supervision or operations management.
  • Experience supporting or implementing ERP, WMS, or operational software systems.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes, inventory control, and logistics workflows.
  • Experience with Sage, WMS, ERP, PDM, PLM platforms, or system integration preferred.
  • Ability to translate operational processes into system/process logic.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working with software vendors, IT teams, or developers.
  • Strong team leadership and communication skills.
  • Mechanical knowledge of warehouse equipment advantageous.
