Gatehouse​/Yard Operative

We are currently recruiting for a Gatehouse / Yard Person to join our team in Bilston on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role requiring an individual who is comfortable working outdoors and can effectively manage the flow of vehicles entering and leaving the site.

Key Responsibilities

* Act as the first point of contact for all drivers entering and exiting the site.

* Communicate clearly and professionally with drivers, visitors, and site personnel.

* Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring site procedures are followed.

* Direct vehicles to the appropriate loading, unloading, and parking areas.

* Complete relevant gatehouse and yard administration where required.

* Maintain a safe and tidy working environment within the yard and gatehouse areas.

* Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures.

* Support the wider operations team as required.

Requirements

* Previous experience in a Gatehouse, Yard Person, Security, Traffic Marshall, or similar role is essential.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work independently and use initiative.

* Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions for approximately 50% of each shift.

* Good attention to detail and ability to follow site procedures.

* Health and Safety experience or awareness is desirable.
