The successful applicant will:
  • Ensure all minor repairs and audit requirements are fixed in a timely manner.
  • Guarantee adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements and to the company policies and procedures.
  • Carry out all required tests and checks for various systems of the home on weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Be responsible for the maintenance of the Care Home, including planned maintenance (painting, plumbing, minor refurbishments, etc.) and installation or assembly of new equipment.
  • Maintain the home's surrounding grounds, ensuring pathways and driveways are uncluttered, open, and safe, and plants are tendered and hydrated.
  • Ensure lights and signs, both internal and external, are in good shape, clear, and visible.
  • Liaise with contractors to ensure all work complies with site health and safety rules.
  • Create and adhere to budgets.
  • Identify and report all maintenance defects and problems through critical checks.
  • Maintain the operability of heating, lighting, plumbing, and all non-medical equipment necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the home.
