This is a key role in our business - ideal for someone who takes pride in precision and wants to develop and lead the inspection area as part of a close-knit, family-run company. You’ll work with state-of-the-art metrology and inspection systems, ensuring our components meet exacting tolerances and specifications.

* Verify components against engineering drawings, CAD data, and customer specifications.

* Maintain calibration records and ensure all inspection equipment is in excellent working order.

* Collaborate with production and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure right-first-time quality.

Qualifications & Experience

* Proven experience in precision component inspection within a manufacturing or toolmaking environment.

* Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and dimensional tolerances.

* Competent in using both manual and automated metrology equipment.

* CMM programming or operation experience (Mitutoyo, DEA, or similar systems).

* Working knowledge of ISO quality standards and inspection documentation.

* High attention to detail and a methodical, quality-driven mindset.

Personal Attributes

* Reliable, proactive, and self-motivated.

* Strong communicator and effective collaborator.

* Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility.

* Keen to make a meaningful impact in a small, family-run business.

Benefits

* Opportunity to own and lead the inspection area within the business.

 * £35,000 - £50,000 (dependent on experience).

* Overtime opportunities.

* Company pension scheme.

* 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

* Supportive, family-run environment with long-term development and growth opportunities
