The Finance Director is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the financial strategy, controlling processes, and overall fiscal management of the freight forwarding business for Gebrüder Weiss N.A.
Your profile- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or related field; CPA/CA/ACCA/CMA preferred
- 10+ years of finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain required
- Strong knowledge of international logistics, trade compliance and customs regulations
- Experience working in an international environment
- Advanced proficiency in ERP/TMA systems and financial modeling
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities; able to work under pressure
- Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with business goals
- Provide strategic financial insights for pricing, trade lanes, procurement and expansion
- Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning
- Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing with accurate P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
- Implement internal controls and ensure IFRS/local GAAP compliance
- Lead internal and external audits; mitigate financial and operational risks
- Optimize cash flow through AR/AP management and credit control
- Manage banking relationships, treasury operations, FX exposure and liquidity planning
