Position SummaryThe Value‑Added Services Sales Manager will lead our aftermarket services sales team and serves as a key member of our commercial leadership, responsible for the revenue growth and profitability of all value‑added service offerings. The Value‑Added Services Sales Manager will oversee the Value Add Solutions team dedicated to selling and promoting our aftermarket services – such as equipment retrofits, plant‑wide audit programs, spare part kits, preventive maintenance plans, and other service contracts.
The Value‑Added Services Sales Manager will drive strategic initiatives to expand our service portfolio, develop new service products based on customer needs, price these offerings effectively, and enable the team to value‑sell solutions that enhance customer productivity. This is a high‑impact role that will design and execute sales campaigns, build a strong sales funnel for service offerings, and convert opportunities into revenue to help us meet our financial objectives.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Lead and manage the Value‑Added Services sales team (5 direct reports) to achieve or exceed revenue and profitability targets for all aftermarket service offerings.
- Drive sales of value‑added services including retrofit projects, plant‑wide audits, spare parts kits, preventive maintenance agreements, and other service contracts, ensuring these offerings deliver demonstrable value to customers.
- Develop and package new service and support product offerings in collaboration with engineering, product, and customer support teams – based on customer feedback, market trends, and installed base needs. This includes defining service packages, setting pricing strategies, and crafting value propositions that differentiate nVenia’s services in the market.
- Design and execute marketing and sales campaigns to promote value‑added services. Generate awareness and demand through targeted initiatives, and support the build‑up of a robust sales funnel for service opportunities.
- Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation through close. Track and monitor leads for service sales, provide hands‑on support to the team in converting leads to orders, and ensure timely follow‑up on opportunities to meet monthly and quarterly service sales goals.
- Coach and mentor the service sales team – provide training on consultative and value‑based selling techniques, product/service knowledge, and account management skills. Set clear performance objectives for team members and support their professional development.
- Engage directly with key customers as needed, building strong relationships and acting as a trusted advisor on after‑sale service solutions. Encourage customers to invest in preventive maintenance and other value‑added programs by clearly articulating ROI and long‑term benefits.
- Own the financial performance of the value‑added services business segment. Monitor revenue, margins, and costs for service offerings. Adjust pricing or strategy as needed to ensure profitability targets are met while maintaining competitive value for customers.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure excellent service delivery. Work with the operations, field service, and parts teams to make sure that what is sold can be delivered at high quality and customer satisfaction. Provide feedback from customers to guide continuous improvement of service offerings.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitor offerings in aftermarket services. Use market insights to identify new opportunities for service revenue growth and to refine our service portfolio and sales approach.
